Lucknow: Special Secretary Urban Development Rajendra Pansia conducted a surprise inspection of Kanha Upvan Gaushala situated at Nadarganj Amausi, operated by Municipal Corporation Lucknow.
During the inspection, all the arrangements were found to be correct. He inspected all the enclosures where husk, bran and all the troughs were found to be as per the standards and green fodder is given on the basis of availability. Clean cold water was found to be available in all the enclosures and the cleanliness of the entire premises was found to be of high quality.
He praised the efforts being made by the Municipal Corporation for the destitute cows by arranging coolers in some enclosures. The health of all the cows was found to be good and it was seen that salt is also being used by mixing it in the fodder to protect them from heat. He gave instructions for expansion of sheds at some places in the cowshed and emphasis was laid on making the cowshed self-reliant and information was taken about the sale of milk and cow dung from the cowshed.
